Applicants must be pursuing a course of study in a science or engineering field that will lead to a recognized undergraduate degree at an accredited college or university in the United States. The NCSF scholarship is paid out $2,000 per year, renewable annually over six calendar years for a maximum of $8,000 and the John Young Memorial scholarship is paid out $2,500 a year, renewable annually over six calendar years for a maximum of $10,000. In this 39th year of the program (2022 – 2023 school year), up to nine scholarships will be awarded in the amount of $8,000 each and up to three John Young Memorial scholarship will be awarded in the amount of $10,000.
